In an inspiring collaboration, SJPII School recently completed the "Coaching Boys Into Men" program, led by Chrysti Savage from Saakaate House. This gender-based violence prevention initiative, which ran from mid-April until the last week of school, was offered to the Grade 6 boys.
The "Coaching Boys Into Men" program equips coaches and teachers with the necessary tools to have meaningful conversations with their athletes and students, fostering a more inclusive and respectful society. Through structured discussions and activities, our Grade 6 boys learned about respect, empathy, and the importance of standing against gender-based violence.
Chrysti Savage, a dedicated advocate from Saakaate House, guided the program, providing valuable insights and practical strategies for our boys to implement in their daily lives. The program aimed to create a foundation for positive behavior and respectful interactions, emphasizing that change begins with each individual.
We are proud of our Grade 6 boys for their active participation and commitment to making a difference. This program is a significant step towards building a safer and more supportive community for everyone.
