St. John Paul II School marked World Autism Day with a full day of interactive learning, reflection, and celebration, as students and staff came together to promote awareness and inclusion.
The school welcomed Firefly, with Jeniffer leading engaging presentations and activities designed for students across all grade levels. Through a series of sessions held throughout the day, classrooms had the opportunity to participate in meaningful discussions and hands-on activities that helped deepen their understanding of autism and the importance of acceptance.
Students explored key ideas around empathy, communication, and inclusion, gaining valuable insight into how they can support and appreciate the diverse experiences of others in their community.
Adding to the spirit of the day, students and staff dressed in bright tie-dye colours, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that reflected the message of celebrating differences and embracing individuality.
The event highlighted SJPII’s ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels seen, valued, and understood. Through initiatives like this, the school continues to build awareness and encourage compassion among its students.
