At St. John Paul II School we are committed to providing our students with learning opportunities ‘beyond the classroom' that promote physical fitness, a curiosity about our natural environment, survival skills, social engagement and self-esteem. Living in Northwestern Ontario, we understand the importance our geography plays on childhood development and our community as a whole. We encourage students to take advantage of this incredible area we call home.

In June, Grade 6 and 7 students participate in a three-day retreat. Students are able to experience camping with their friends and fellow students. They get to participate in swimming, arts, music, archery, campfires, hiking, rock climbing, zip lining, sports, games, group activities and so much more.
